Making Pretzels



I remembering eating lots of pretzels during Lent while growing up.  They have been difficult to find, so this year when I saw a mix I got it.  

 The kids really enjoyed making their own pretzels and their own designs. 

 They were very creative and had tons of fun!

 There was flour everywhere.

 The babies watched and snacked on cereal as the rest of us got creative.

 They did letters and shapes.  We were all surprised that the pretzels were also yummy!

So we are off for the next 40 days, with no meat on Fridays.  May you find little joys in all that you offer up!

Sorry, I know this was a lot.  It is taking me forever to post everything that I start.  Two teething babies that want to be comforted by nursing can take up a lot of mommy's time.  Enjoy all the pictures.  Hopefully I will get February done before the end of this month.

Valentine Day Traditions and Show

 So dad continued his tradition of getting flowers for all his girls, even the two new ones.

 The lady didn't know how to handle his remarks when she asked if the flowers were for his special girl and he replied, "Yes for all of them!"  "My goodness, how many do you have?"  "Just enough!"

 The kids once again designed a special show for mom and dad, this year we got fancy tickets and programs.

 The show as out side so we bundled up and got ready to enjoy the special entertaining.

Sugar worked with everyone and did a great job at leading this motley crew.

The acts were fantastic and had us all laughing.

It was another wonderful Valentine day and show.  No one could argue that we don't have a lot of love in this crazy house full of people.

Neighborhood Soda Shoppe

The yearly event of the neighborhood Valentine's Soda Shoppe was once again a fun event that we attended as a family.  First year for the twins of course and they are just big enough to try some ice cream.  I think they liked it.

The dream is not dead.  The twins joined us and changed plans but only for a short time.

Adorable and Beautiful seeing the RV life for the first time.  This time the dreams changes a little as the older kids expressed that they will not be apart of this adventure.  Pooker is working on nursing school and Bear is  looking forward to Seminary while Goobers wants a college life.

We really don't know what the future holds.  I suspect we will not become the Kellogg Family but I am still hopeful to enjoy the life of adventure.

Quick Update - We are Back Home!

Bear had everyone gather around his iPad for this fun shot during a stretch break.

We are all safely home.  We take Sugar to doctor on Monday.  For now she is recovering fine.  Thank you for all the prayers.
