Laundry Soup - Our Own Blend

Remember how J used to work for a laundry soup company, we felt compelled to use their stuff. We are once again free to pick what we like. We had been trying various kinds but a few of the kids were having trouble with skin allergies and irritations. Jumba helped me as we created our own dry blend. In the past we had cooked it all in water making a gooey mix but this time we kept it dry.

The clothes are clean and smell pretty good.

More Laundry Issues

Are you kidding me, not again.
The dryer broke this time.  The entire "mother board" needed to be replaced.  I have never beens o frustrated in my whole life.  We bought top of the line for this?!?!  I am told it will be repaired, no harm no foul.  Not true for a family that does an average of 4 loads a day.

At least I have cute helpers and the weather was not as humid as it was the last time we hauled all this to the laundry mat.

So I bribed them with an ice cream.  Is that so bad?  I did it because these two volunteered without any pushing.  That is rare, so we reward it.

Laundry Is On Going!!!!

We walked into the laundry room on Tuesday morning to find our brand new (3week old) washing machine was unusable.  The glass front had cracked and a piece fell out.  This was pretty devastating considering it was our first brand spanking new machine in years.  After several days worth of phone calls a replacement is on order but will take another week or so to arrive.
So what do you do when your washing machine breaks and a new one will not arrive for another week and you have a butt load of kids?
We took almost every seat out to fit in all the piles of dirty laundry a week without a machine in our home will produce.
It was everywhere.
We headed off to an Express Laundry Center and spent a fortune. I do love the mega machines and my special helpers.
I was glad to have Princess and Bagel with me to help.  We had our work cut out for us, but they really did make the most of it. Even giving nasty faces when I was taking pictures.

I do love the mega machines they hold 7 louis per machine, isn't that awesome.

I do adore the wall of dyers.
The girls even sorted the laundry as we brought back to the van.  They did such a great job and were pretty speedy.
We arrived home giving everyone their completely laundry to put away.  We worked hard but we did get 2 days worth of work done in about 3 hours.  Go us!  I can't wait to get my new - new machine soon.

Lots and lots of Laundry

This happens every so many weeks, I become overwhelmed with the laundry.  It takes so much work to keep up with laundry much less catch up.  I had enough  and I packed the laundry into 14 of those huge buckets and I headed to a laundromat.

On average we wash about 4 loads a day, but that means I need to have time and the machines need to be working properly.
Then I met my new best friends.  These machines hold 7 loads per cycle.  I want one for my home!  I also need some of the heavy duty dryers.
We got pizza and got everyone involved in sorting, folding and putting away the 44 loads that I washed and dried that afternoon.
Sugar tried to hide from all the work and dad fell asleep with the twins.
I  would love to say that the laundry is done, but who am I kidding . . .with 11 kiddos it will never even get close.  My dreams are now include a very large washing machine and two industrial dryers.

Airwolf Magic

A show in the mid 1980's called Airwolf has 80 episodes available on Netflicks.  J liked the story in the 80's and shared it with Pickle, who LOVED it.
Some are not happy that Pickle is so happy about this show, namely Possible.  I love that Pickle and the younger ones, Princess, Bagel and Jumba, like the show as much as they do.

Pickle has realized that with the very hot weather mom isn't wanting to leave the house at all.  I also don't want to get stuck in  the living room doing the mounds of laundry that our large family produces.  Pickle is smart.

He started folding while watching.  Magic.  My most loathed chore is done while my son "wastes" time on an old TV show.  I would never take it away from him, he is way too helpful

My only fear is that we are down to 72 shows.  What will I do to get the laundry done after the show is over.  I love that in between loads Pickle and the younger ones have set up their own Airwolf by setting every unused electronic around them in the dinner room.  They pretend to sole cases and fly all over.  I love it.
May you and your kids find your own Airwolf!

Power Washing

Every now and then the house and the drive way need a good cleaning.
Never under estimate the uses of a power washer.
Hey, don't knock it if you never tried. It really did get some stains out that we had given up on.

So much my has been happening. I needed comfort. I decided to make one of my favorite meals from my youth.  My mom was not the most flavorf...
