Otter Award Night
Another summer swim league has come to an end. We had a blast this year.Sugar was a great coach along side Bear.
The silly coaches are sporting their mohawk hair that they refuse to cute off until after the post season swim events.
Way to go Jumba, Coach Sugar is very proud of you! We all are!
Bear, Possible, Princess, and Jumba all getting their 2 year shirts.
Love that goofy face!
It was such a hot afternoon. The kids all enjoyed celebrating the end of season with their peers and each other.
After the formal part of the evening the swim competition began. Each coach devised their own teams and the race was on.
In the end it was a fun night.
The season is all about the friends, oh and the swimming.

Cuda Awards Ceremony
Another season in the bag. The girls had a great season and really enjoyed themselves. Possible and Sugar hit the ten year swimmer mark. The Cudas mean friends, exercise, and accomplishments.
We also found out that Bagel won Cuda of the Week during this last week.

My Special Cudas of the Week
Bagel was thrilled as she won "Cuda of the Week" for her age group. She told me that they ask her to show the other kids how to do some of the stuff. She loves being a Cuda Model. Possible won a different kind of award. She was picked as the "Jr. Coach of the Week". This didn't surprise me. She has given 100% each time she is at practice. She loves to help and takes the title of Jr. Coach very seriously. Way to go Bagel and Possible! We are all very proud of you!!

Bloggers who receive this award are supposed to do the following....
Thank the person that nominated their blog for the award and provide a link back to their blog.
Thanks for the award Monique! Please check out her blog, it is one that I recently found myself. I love her colors and style, very peaceful. To be honest she nominated my other blog "I Really Do Homeschool All These Kids". I try to only use that one for homeschool postings so I thank her here at the family blog.
List 7 things about themselves
- I love all the seasons. I miss seeing them here in Houston.
- I love history. I like to study it, I like to visit old places and I like to learn about it.
- I am so proud of being an American, I think our history is the coolest.
- I am always shocked at how so many people don't pay attention to current affairs.
- I can't imagine what life would be like if my children were in traditional school.
- I am dumb founded by the number of people that are friends with their children and don't actually parent.
- I am most hopeful about our future when I am with the youth of the next generation in our homeschool religion class, Catholic Coffee Club, they know their faith, they know their history and they see a beautiful future.
Pick 15 newly discovered blogs to give the award to.
The national news has been so hard to swallow as of late that I have really enjoyed my blogs. A few months back I went through a very long list of Catholic Mom's on line and started following the ones that I could relate too. Recently
I figured out how to see the blogs I was following. These 15 have been some of my favorites to visit. Thank you ladies, you all have beautiful families!!!

Way to Go Bagel
We were not even sure if this little lady would swim this year at all. After her appendicitis and then the huge infection we worried that she would refuse to swim. This past week was our first away meet and for a home body that is small, away pools can be very scary. Well she did it and did very well. She dropped time in both her strokes and the coaches noted all her efforts. She came home from practice grinning from ear to ear.
She has won CUDA OF THE WEEK. The prize is the bright green swim cap with the title. This is a big deal for Cudas and we are most proud of her!

Way to go Bagel.
