Lions Vs Acadiana Homeschool

It was a long drive to Lafayette, the twins grew concerned that it was too far away:
Mallorie. "Wow we went far. Are we in a different neighborhood?"
Mom. "Yes we are actually in a different state. We live in Texas but now we are in Louisiana."
Mckenzie. "Let me get this straight. Is it still Merica?"
Mom. "Yes we are still in the same country. We are still in the United States of America"
Twins together. "Whew. That's good"

This was an exciting game to see.  It was hot and in the sun as the game was played on a Saturday afternoon.

These boys were beginning to play as a team.  This always makes it much for enjoyable to watch.  I know very little about the sport still but I am enjoying learning.  Especially from little 76.

In the end we won that game.  This does make it that much more exciting.

The facilities were pretty cool.  It was fun watching Pickle come out of the "locker room".
After the game the team enjoyed some bonding time over some delicious cajan style food.

Pickle is at the opposite end of this table in a red top and while hat.  It ended up being some real team time.

Some Crazy Sleeping

I love watching these two sleep.  If I am lucky enough to find them catching a nap or if they fall asleep on the couch, I am amazed at their positions.  These two can fall asleep on top of each other if needed.  It cracks me up every time!

Even nap time was silly, Twin Beautiful fell asleep while eating a tortilla.

College Adventures on Campus

The Lonestar campus has a Sam Houston building on it.  Goobers set it up so that one night a week she would take a close at Lonestar instead of needing to drive all the way to Huntsville.  These guys make the most of that time together.

These pictures were on Facebook and I had to move them here.  I just love the sibling time.  No matter where they are, they have fun together.

Twin Time

Pickle was at practice and we ran errands.  These two keep dad and I laughing all the time.  Their happiness is infectious.  Tonight the topic was Theology related.  During our stops, dinner and waiting for Pickle these two discussed things like Heaven and Hell.  They were amazed to learn that those are not physical places.  We discussed angels at great links.  They repeated every idea back to me.

These two are smart. It was a fun conversation, not to mention pretty deep for 5 year olds.  This was our second similar conversation in three days.

9/24 conversation with them went like this: Theology according to Mallorie and Mckenzie: as I sat with them before bed and cuddled each of them with hugs and kisses I stated, "Wow God must really love me!" I was planning on saying something like "because he gave me the two of you to cuddle goodnight!" They cut me off. Mallorie, "Well he probably just loves you as much as he loves everyone else." Mckenzie, " Yeah mom, I don't think God loves you any more than anyone else. He loves us all the same."

New Position For Pooker

Pooker is very excited to get back to patient care and out of marketing. It just wasn't not her cup of tea.

She says it best on Facebook:
"Annnnnd the marketing hat is officially hung up. It has been a crazy, busy and stressful 9 months of marketing, guys. I am so thankful for the time I had to learn more of the business side of the world through. I use to think 9-5ers had it so easy compared to my “heroic” 24 hours. Y’all that shit ain’t easy! I have a whole new level of respect for marketing/sales reps and teams.

I did learn a lot about myself and my abilities to grow, adapt and push myself. I met so many special people with different companies that had so much to share about marketing and true patient care. There’s some really good people and companies out there. If you ever have questions about senior care/ Home Health/ private duty/ hospice, let me know. I will gladly get you in touch with good people.

If you care, I have taken a new role as a night time Emt/lab tech at a free standing ER. I do highly encourage you to check us out if you need emergency care. We usually have zero wait time. đŸ˜‰ The fit is prefect right now and I’m so happy.

Always hard to make a change even if you want the change to happen. Glad to move on but going to miss some good people for sure."

Official Football Picture Day

My precious son has been so quick to get on the field before the games that I was never able to get picture.  We ordered some on official picture day.
