Beauty in Snow

Today marks one month until my birthday. J is traveling all the time. Money is tight and the bills from Christmas are stilling being paid. I have been fighting a few kidney stones. We need new tires for the car but will need to wait until we get our income tax refund to be able to afford them. I was starting to feel overwhelmed and down. I dropped Princess off at work and would need to come back to get her and pick up and Bagel later after a little more frozen rain and snow. This had me a little worried. I hate driving with the bad tires on the slippery roads. I dropped Princess off and just sat there. At first, out of habit I lamented, "Why did we move to this awful place that has snow?" I heard myself and was so upset. We moved here, to the Mid West, so we could enjoy the snow and the change of season. I forced myself to take another look. The trees covered with snow are beautiful, and the snow blankets everything in a peace.

I got home and made myself look some more and take a few more pictures.

The snow is beautiful! Praise God in all things!

Steinberg Ice Rink

Ice Skating it not an event that we have done much of in our years. J is worried because he has had a bad back. I took the kiddos to an ice skating rink years ago in Houston. Possible fell on her elbow and needed 3 months of surgeries and recovery to heal. St. Louis has a beautiful open air out door rink that had been apart of St. Louis history for years and years. Steinberg Skating Rink has a rich tradition of being a winter destination for the locals.

The kids didn't know what to expect but were up for another adventure, making new memories.

Twin Adorable with Pooker

These two loved skating, probably because they were with their siblings.

Snow Time

We are so happy to see the snow fall. It can be so calming to have that fresh white blanket covering the ground.
When the snow falls the Huskies seam to find new energy. They come alive and get super excited. We have hard time bringing them inside.

Apperntly dad wanted to tap into his inner husky.

St. Clement Ladies Brunch

I was asked to be a vendor at a Ladies Brunch! This one had me super excited! This was the parish grew up in. In fact, the registration form was sent to the house I grew up in. Small world again!

I love my job but more importantly I loved seeing many familiar faces, mom so former classmates and such.

Seeing Bear On Way Home

We are headed home now, on our way back to St. Louis.

Bear was on board for meeting us at Whataburger.

It is so much fun to see Bear again.  In this past week I have seen all my kiddos, my mom heart is full! I love these kiddos. I love spending time with them. I love seeing them succeeding in what God is calling them to.
Bear shared with us hi picture that was taken for the diocese. They do it yearly. I love this picture!

Group Baseball Adventure

The kiddos planned a fun day at the park.  We might not be huge Cardinal fans we do appreciate a live game.  Mary will start at SLU soon, Chris will go back to A&M Galveston, Sugar and Sticks will  start back to Lindenwood, Possible will be taking classes on line at LoneStar and Princess just started at SCC.  These college kids needed one more adventure!

I love this group of kiddos. WE even love Sticks even though he is a Cardinals fan.

So much my has been happening. I needed comfort. I decided to make one of my favorite meals from my youth.  My mom was not the most flavorf...
