Celebration of Life

I am so proud of these girls.  They are always doing for others.  Tonight was going to be fun!  They were there to serve those attending the Celebration of Life Dinner and auction.  They met Sugar's friend Kat and shared a hotel room with her.   Those girls had a blast while serving those that help in the pro-life movement.  What a great and glamorous life.

Two of my beauties.

I am so proud of all three of them.

Nice Job

Bear is president of the Lone Star Right to Life club.  He is sponsored by the Fellows program.  I am always impressed by what this kid accomplishes.  He just works to get things done, no matter what.  I am very proud of him.

Pro-Life 5K

Here they go again!  These kids are out there in the world making a difference every day.  They do make me proud to be their mom.  I know that I am very blessed that my children have gone to a community college to start their careers.  It has meant that I have been able to witness that growth from teen to adult first hand.  These kiddos woke up early on Saturday morning to run.

"Lone Star Right to Life students and friends are ready to race in the New Life Fitness Center's 5k Run to raise funds for the Tomball Fitness Center which has already begun! The various races will continue through 10:30.
We have partnered with New Life to sponsor this run and are hosting a booth at the event. Teresa said she is already having some great conversations at our booth and would love to see you there this morning. Local children are having a great time making posters to enter in our poster contest too. You can submit your children's entries there as well!
It's not too late drop by and cheer our Dr. Joseph Graham Fellows and pro-life students at the finish line! Way to go guys!"
Back at the college campus in Montgomery, Bear, Goobers, and Sugar are doing good things with the rest of the group.  They are working hard to teach their peers the truth.  Here is a link to article about the run and one includes a picture of their club meeting.

Montgomery Right to Life isn't the only one that is proud of these kiddos.  We are super proud as their parents and it is so exciting that there is a group out there backing them, especially in this cause.

Way to go guys.  You ran well, you finished and most of all you did it for the right reasons!

Lonestar College Right To Life at Fair

I am so proud of my college kids.  They are so busy sharing the truth with their peers.  I love that.  I know that in the end they are saving lives.  Bear with Goobers and Sugar are making Lone Star a better place and hopefully educating their peers on the life of the unborn.

Fellows Program and Dinner

As I have pointed out before Bear was awarded a wonderful scholarship opportunity.  He along with 25 peers, Kat included, were treated to a week of education in the pro-life issues.  This was part of their training as recipients of the Dr. Joseph Graham Fellow award.  Read more about it by clicking here.  They had education and team building activities including dancing, horse back riding, and all kinds of things.  We met with the fellows group at a formal reception one of the nights.  I was so impressed with these young men and woman.  They were interacting with parents, politicians, and contributors with such kindness and grace. It was a beautiful learning experience.

Kat was the first one to speak.  I know her mom would be so proud of her.  I know her dad was and so was Pooker, J and I.
I can't even begin to tell you how proud of this young man I am.  He is maturing into a beautiful man of God.  His passion for the life issues has not changed at all but this program has helped him find his voice. Texas Right To Life has given these young adults so much by inspiring them to continue to fight for the unborn while giving them the tools to do so.

STAOP Is Proud Of Bear

St. Anthony of Padua is VERY PROUD of Duncan T! Amen? AMEN!
Everyone is invited to the MCRTL meeting this Thursday at 7pm. Learn how to minister to children in foster care, from one time events to the full commitment of foster parenting or adoption. Introducing MCRTL's Newest Dr. Joseph Graham Pro-life Scholars
So that was all part of an email that went through the parish pro-life groups, then various friends forwarded to me.  I am so proud of this guy!
MCRTL is thrilled to announce that we will be sponsoring not 1 but 2 new Dr. Joseph Graham Pro-life Scholars this fall:  Nicole C will be a voice for life at Lone Star College - Tomball and Duncan T (BEAR) will join Christian R and Rachael S at Lone Star College - Montgomery in The Woodlands.  MCRTL will now have 4 scholars on 2 campuses of the Lone Star College system!

"Thank you to MCRTL for this amazing opportunity!  Fighting for life has always been and always will be a passion of mine. I can now do that a lot easier thanks to this scholarship! Thanks, and Go with God!"   Bear

Could I Be More Proud?

NO I COULD NOT!  The Dr. Joseph Graham Fellowship is a scholarship offered to college students that are living the pro-life message within their college years and sharing the movement.  As you all know my college age kiddos have helped get a pro-life group started on their community college campus.  Bear was instrumental is seeing this get done.  When he expressed interested in applying for this scholarship I was very proud that he was just realizing that he is called to work to protect the lives of the helpless unborn.  Just like our faith is not one for his, but his own faith I see the pro-life movement as no longer being something that dad and I try to instruct Bear in but one that he has taken on as his own.
I don't know what all this means as far as a scholarship goes at all.  I am just so proud that he was named as the recipient for Lone Star.  More information on this can be found at the Texas Right To Life Website.
Bear will go places in this world.  I know that.  This is just a small example of how he will take on the world and share his understanding with others.

I want to point out that our dear friend Tabby-Kat also was awarded this fellowship for her college at Angelo State University.  I am her Confirmation sponsor after all.  I just could not be more proud of these two.  The world is a better place with this next generation.

So much my has been happening. I needed comfort. I decided to make one of my favorite meals from my youth.  My mom was not the most flavorf...
