Core Team Retreat

LifeTeen at STAOP always tries to start by feeding the spiritual side of the core members.  Many of these adults have been on core for years.  The retreat was not something I could go to with the little ones at home but Bear and Sugar went.  As usual Bear left early to help set it all up.  Some photos were posted on the Youth Ministry website.  I just love how much the faith that J and I presented to our kids has become their own and not ours for them.

This was posted on the STAOP Youth Ministry Facebook page with this quote:
"Meanwhile, while BEAR shows off his muscles... Core Team Retreat for Life Teen, EDGE, and Confirmation is starting in 30 minutes! TEENS: WE NEED YOU! If you could offer an Our Father, Hail Mary, or Glory Be praying for your adult leaders for the 2015-2016 year right now that would be awesome. Like and comment below with the prayer you offered so the Core Team knows you're praying for them! ‪#‎glorify"‬

I just love that while the adults are praying for a good year the teens are included and asked to pray for the adults.  Isn't that the way it should be?!?

Then came this picture late into the night with this quote:
"Closing the Core Team Retreat tonight spending time with Jesus in Adoration. Teens thank you for the prayers today! We prayed for YOU! ‪#‎glorify‬"

I suspect Sugar and Bear's favorite part was hanging out with this little cutie.

.  .  . and here they are the Core Teams for Edge, LifeTeen and Confirmation 2015-1016.  thanks to each of you for your devotion to the youth of our parish.

Christopher's B-Day Party

Our friend C finally had his birthday party.  The birthday is is in May (I think).  Anyway his parents treated his party to a fun afternoon at Incredible Pizza.  We had a blast.

C's dad was proud of his perfect cone.

Happy birthday C, thanks for inviting us to your super cool birthday party.

Crazy Next Generation

This is such funny reality that is new to this next group of kiddos that were born within the last five years.  Adorable was given an old phone to play with.  She didn't pretend to make a phone call but pretended to take a selfie.  She then wanted us all to group around her for a group shot.  I tried to also take one with my phone so she actually had a picture.

Possible Has Her Learners Permit

A major change from a few years back was that you can now take the Learners permit test on your own computer at home.  It is supposed to save time.
Possible passed without a problem.

We waited 4 hours to actually turn all the paperwork in, but in the end Possible was thrilled.
The rest of us are terrified.  Just kidding, she will be a great driver.

Filling The Fish Tank

In St. Louis Uncle Brent gave Bear his old fish tank.  Bear has been wanting it for a long time.  It is 55 gallon and so this last trip we were able to bring it back in the trailer.  Bear set it up and left it empty for about a month.  He gave J a list of items that were needed to make it safe for fish.  I can't help but thinking how much Bear's new toy is costing mom and dad but we all enjoyed the sound of the water in the living room.

The twins decided to put a fish in the tank, to bad it was a stuffed animal.

OK, lets try behind the tank.  At least this gave the tank some color.
Notice how sad and empty the tank looks just sitting there behind the couch.
So once we could get everyone together we stuffed ourselves into the van and headed out to find some fish.

This was a crazy family adventure.

This is one of those times that I love being a mom to many.  We stood out at Petco but even the employee was having fun with us.

Everyone got to pick out their own fish.  This is hard.  We needed the fish to all be able to swim together in one tank.

We also needed more plants and decorations.  We had added the rocks and heater the week before.

We ended up getting a medium size castle and then a smaller one that would represent the apartment.

I just love watching all these guys share their fun with each other.

We all got a fish and gave them names.

So much chaos but so much fun.
Pooker and Goobers introduced Taco and Bella to their small castle.

It cracks me up how this family comes together even over fish for the tank.

I also love how all of the ideas came together to produce a pretty environment.

I don't know if the fish know what they are in for joining this family.
