Surprise, Bear was with you all at the Conference!

Bear, Sugar and Possible were all together which was huge but then they also got to meet up with other old friends from STAOP.

This is the Lindenwood group. I love that each of these young people spent their time growing closer to God.

Brother Thomas Gonzaga

God's timing is wonderful. Parents weekend for the seminary had us in Denver where we were privileged to help represent the STAOP community in celebrating the Mass of First Profession of Brother Thomas Gonzaga into the Servants of Christ Jesus. It was good so see some St Anthony’s faces. That was good for the heart, as we miss them dearly. Also an honor to witness this commitment being made by a young man that we knew as Patrick from LifeTeen.

From the Servants of Christ Jesus Facebook Page:

3 Year Vows taken in front of the Eucharist. It was a beautiful thing to witness.  Congratulations to Brother Thomas Gonzaga.

Trying ICD's High-school Program

Having beens so involved in Lifeteen at STAOP we had no idea what this change would be like. We wanted to try Magnify, as they call their program. Sugar and Possible wanted to help. We giggled when they thought they had a huge turn out with 60 teens.

I am still not sure if we will stay involved. Sugar, Possible, Pickle, Princess, and Bagel.

May Max Rest In Peace

Friends from our Houston parish of St Anthony and our homeschool group of Bread of Life are saying goodbye tonight to their 14 years old son who died last Saturday night. MAX was a young boy that we often saw at daily Mass over the years. I don’t think he ever said hello without a huge grin on his face. His smile always made me think of how loved he was by his whole family. We knew many of his older siblings through homeschooling and LifeTeen. Our hearts ache. We want to be there to hug and comfort, weep and pray with the family. Please offer a prayer for the repose of his soul and for his parents and older siblings that he leaves behind. I look forward to knowing him in the communion of saints.

Max Finney Foundation
Our kids were there at the parish and helping, Possible was able to go to the funeral Mass and represent the Texas T Family. We watched from the live streaming offered at STAOP. The most powerful testimony was the full church with people that knew Max from all different walks of his life. His family spoke and all were moved to tears.  Please offer prayers for this precious soul, the family and the parish.

The Fierce Forth-sum

Possible and these four have been great friends for years.  I love that they made sure to all get together one time before J headed out for the summer.  I know they will be friends for life.  I can't wait to see how the world is a better place beach of these four.
