Our Day with Bear

J had some trade show stuff, Bear had seminary stuff so I picked both of them up after I had enjoyed a peaceful morning of relaxing.

We had to try another local spot for a yummy afternoon lunch.

The off to do some more shopping.

After another fun day our time was coming to a close. We would be dropping Bear off again to not see him for a few months. This was hard but not as hard as it was before. We know he is surrounded by great people. His other family is pretty cool. You can see it on his face, he is where he is supposed to be.

We need to thank Bear for making us feel so welcome. We are most thankful that Bear had time away from the seminary to hang out with his mom and dad. Thanks for being our “favorite child” for the weekend. Happy birthday! WE LOVE YOU!

Denver Adventures - Bear Needs Boots

I have heard several comments from by Texas kids that we keep visiting Denver but not Texas. J and I decided to send them a treat. We got them some Denver chain coffee.

While J would spend all day Saturday at a trade show I was off to the seminary to pick up Bear and do some exploring or shopping. .  .
St. Michael The Archangel, Pray for us!
(It is the feast of St. Michael today!  . . . and we are back at my favorite statue of the Saint.

We would pass the same small church on the way to and from the convention center where J had to work. I wanted to hit confession and thankfully this Saturday evening it worked out. Mary Mother of God was a beautiful but small church.

Visiting our Lord in various places is always a good thing.

Bear's Birthday

Happy 23 rd birthday to Bear. This young man has always lived life to fullest. He never wastes time playing politics, he just gets things done. He has grown from an adventurous child into a strong confidant man. I have been beyond blessed with each of my children including this bright loving soul. I pray that this day, like each day, will bring him closer to our Lord. Love you, Bear!

To be honest I have been worried about this young man. We miss him but have each other, how is he doing. I discovered why he doesn't miss us that much. He is surround by a group of great people. He is one of 6 seminarians representing the Oklahoma City Archdiocese. These guys are true brothers Christ. They all joined us on Friday night to celebrate Bears' Birthday with him. My heart swelled as I listened to this group act like real siblings. They encouraged, and teased, laughed, taught, supported and enjoyed each other's company. Bear had found a beautiful place. Happy Birthday Bear!

Mom and Dad are Back In Denver

J had a trade show scheduled for Denver. I planned to travel with him before we even knew that Bear would be in Denver. Now is just an added bonus.
I lonely left a few hours ago but I did enjoy a morning conversation with my Twins.
Sugar is in charge, and taking her authority seriously - well kind of.

We are in for a fun weekend. We get to see Colorado in a jeep. Don't be jealous - kids at home.

Art Studies at Museum for Art Class

Possible takes school very seriously. I am so proud of her. She works with more determination that anyone I have ever seen. She asked me to visit the art museum with her and we have fun looking around.

In the end she had to pick one piece to write about. All semester she has been drawn to landscapes. 'Loch Lomond' by Gustave Dore was her favorite.

St. Louis Mom's Night Out

I was so happy to be invited to join a group of homeschooling mom that currently meet one time each month. Less often than I am used to but I am thrilled at how kind and fun these ladies are. I will forever love and miss my group in Houston but I love my new ladies too.

Tea Party (and some waffle ball) at Mimi's House

The Twins are missing their tea party fun. They decided to invite all the girls at Family Dinner for a desert tea party after we have dinner.

After dinner the big whiffle ball game began. Extreme FUN.

The girls took the time too et up the Tea Party.

It was a delightful tea party.  Thank you Adorable and Beautiful.
