What - It Snowed!

The last few days were not cold, but today we woke up to huge flakes falling. The snow lasted a short amount of time 

Mom's Birthday

The kids always make sure I have a great birthday! I didn't want to go out or take any pictures, I am very glad that I was feeling so much better. At least I could eat the cake.

Pooker and JavaJava sent this book so that I can share with their kiddos. I will enjoy taking moments here and there,  to make a record for my grand baby.

One of my gifts was a bouquet of flowers. There are exactly 13 flowers in that bunch. My Possible always gives me this for my birthday. She gives me 11 pink ones to represent each of my children on earth and 2 white ones to represent the two babies that we lost and that are in heaven.

More gifts included coke candy and a bear! They know what will make me happy. Great kiddos.

One of my gifts was the white snow. I love it and so do my huskies.

Possible Snow Fun

Beauty in Snow

Today marks one month until my birthday. J is traveling all the time. Money is tight and the bills from Christmas are stilling being paid. I have been fighting a few kidney stones. We need new tires for the car but will need to wait until we get our income tax refund to be able to afford them. I was starting to feel overwhelmed and down. I dropped Princess off at work and would need to come back to get her and pick up and Bagel later after a little more frozen rain and snow. This had me a little worried. I hate driving with the bad tires on the slippery roads. I dropped Princess off and just sat there. At first, out of habit I lamented, "Why did we move to this awful place that has snow?" I heard myself and was so upset. We moved here, to the Mid West, so we could enjoy the snow and the change of season. I forced myself to take another look. The trees covered with snow are beautiful, and the snow blankets everything in a peace.

I got home and made myself look some more and take a few more pictures.

The snow is beautiful! Praise God in all things!

Snow Fun

I love all the snow. I think that it makes everything look so beautiful.

These two snow loving dogs make the snow that much more fun for the rest of us.

Snow Time

We are so happy to see the snow fall. It can be so calming to have that fresh white blanket covering the ground.

When the snow falls the Huskies seam to find new energy. They come alive and get super excited. We have hard time bringing them inside.

Apperntly dad wanted to tap into his inner husky.

Big Storm

The mid west has storms that cool threw and bring high winds with it. The loud tornado sirens are new to the younger ones. We are trying to learn to react without causing undue fear. New world here!

The temperatures dropped this time as well. We enjoyed more cuddle time inside as more snow fell.

Big Snow Storm

 While I was at the store and the snow began to fall. By the time I got home the first snow fight was well in play.

You know it is a bad day when the zoo is closed, that rarely happens. 

 In the next 24 hours lots and lots of snow fell. We all were trapped at home with good food and lots of fun to be had outside.

I love the ability to look out the window and see the snow falling.  If you can be safe at home then a snow storm can be beautiful and fun!  Happy Snow Days!
