Last Day of Co-Op

I happy that co-op has come to its conclusion.  The kids kind of enjoyed it.  I do not plan to continue with it next year but we are glad that we gave it a shot.  We loved seeing our friends every other week for sure!

Favorite part of co-op!

After co-op each week we have gotten into the great habit of heading out to Chick-Fil-A with our friends.  Actually it is our favorite part of co-op.

Co-Op Week 16

The kids are learning so many things at co-op.  To be honest they are not all things I want them to learn but it is ok for two more times.

I love seeing Jumba sitting there working hard on his map.  I hate the uniforms though.  I have individuals not clones.  I guys that is just me, others like it so much.

Princess does not look happy today.  LOL  I don't think she is mad or sick just not giving us a smile.

Co-Op Wearing Geography Lesson

Today we talked about the Democratic Republic of the Congo in our Geography portion of the class that I taught.  I decided that I would wear the outfit made for me in that country.  Deacon Simon Kipiti had it made for me when he went home to share the pictures of his diaconate ordination with his friends and family back home.  Deacon Simon (soon to be ordained a priest) told us so much about his native country that I enjoyed sharing it with the kiddos.  I loved being able to wear a little bit of the Congolese Catholic culture.

The kids thought it was crazy that I even wore the dress out to lunch after.  It really is a very comfortable dress.

I bet you are thinking that it is a good thing they don't go to a school building everyday or this would be a super boring blog.

Another Co-Op Day

I do try to grab pictures each co-op, I am not sure why.  I guess it is just my way of documenting what we do.  Fun with friends.

The kids are learning for sure.  I am staying on track more because we have to get together with others on the subject matter one time every two weeks.  The flip side is that the kids are forced to spend that time during co-op in the class room settings.

I must be honest I don't love co-op and as we talk about next year I withdraw from the conversations. We did it and gave it a real try.  We won't back out but will not join again.  I do like all the friend time that we end up having though.

Divine Mercy CCM Co-Op Week 7

I love this time with friends.  We didn't prepare this week as much as others but we did learn a lot still.  I really do like being held accountable in a very non threatening manner.  The kids will have to present on a saint next class.  They spent time preparing that part and will continue until that is done. This week marked the end of our study of South America, next are the countries in Africa.
