They are off!

The time finally came for the gang to leave.  J and the big kids were headed to St. Louis to meet up with  the other pilgrims so they could go on their pilgrimage to Italy.  This was not something that made the younger bunch at all happy.

We knew that this crew was about to have the trip of a life time.  We got up early to wish them well as they set off.  J and I had not been apart for more than 10 days and this was going to be longer.  I missed them before they drove away.

Lots of hugs and kisses, we even caught the big kids trying to sneak off with the twins.
Good bye guys, we love you and we will pray for you.
We head off early that morning and went to Mass.  I still took like a trip with my 7 small children.  I am always amazed that being out in the world with several young children is a site to many people.  We were feeling a little down and left behind so I also took my crowd out for a nice breakfast.  This was more than enough to shock everyone we saw at the restaurant.  One couple came up to us to talk about our family.  Then as we went to leave we learned that they had purchased our meal.  That was such a nice treat.

The kids and the Rodeo

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo 3 weeks in March 2011 Being from the Midwest, I really don't get the love of this event. My kids do though. They spend lots of time and money making it down to the Rodeo. They went so often this year it is impossible for me to blog each visit. Here is a bunch of their various visits. They had a blast, you can tell.

The Formal Christmas Pictures

Every Christmas we try to get some nice pictures of the group of each of the kiddos by themselves.  I love these annual family photos.  They really have become my favorite ones.  I am so blessed with a beautiful family - INSIDE and OUT.

Mom and dad just can't figure out where all those good looking kids come from.

I love this picture!  God has given me the best gift ever with my husband and children.

Pooker is a remarkable young woman.  She has grown up way too fast.  Her father and I are so proud of her and love her so much.

Moogie is a very happy and loving person.  Her eyes say it all.

Bear has become a young man that enjoys life and can be a real role model for younger siblings.

Sugar has a joy about her that is contagious.

Possible has matured into a young woman this year.  She is growing tall and so active in everything she does.

Pickle has discovered the world of sports.  His dad is enjoying his sudden desire to play catch all the time with the football or a baseball and gloves.  I love that he still gives mom some cuddles when I need them.

Princess is a energy filled young woman and loves her unique red colored hair and has become incredibly funny.

Bagel is such a strong willed young woman.  It might be hard to get her to smile but once you do she lights up the room.

Jumba is our precious honey bunny.  He is smart and fun to be around.  I think he is very loving but still is all boy.

My house is full of beautiful young women and I am one lucky mom!

The boys are all so fun to be around.  They have me laughing and crying at the same time.

So from our home to yours:  Merry Christmas!

So much my has been happening. I needed comfort. I decided to make one of my favorite meals from my youth.  My mom was not the most flavorf...
