The Table Won

My poor baby.  Twin Beautiful ran into a table, all by herself.  The next few days were pretty ugly around the eye.  Poor girl.

This Twin makes even a bad black eye look beautiful.

STAOP Relic

St. Anthony Relic's were brought to our church all the way from Padua.  The priest described touching a relic to be like shaking hands with the Saint.  As Catholic's we venerate the Saints and Worship God alone.  These are pictures of us having conversations with this Holy Many of God, even though he is in Heaven. I found a good blog posts on this subject at Ignitum Today called, "Why Do Catholic's Venerate Relics?"  Click that link and if you question our Catholic tradition.

Birthday Fun

Flowers and chocolate:  Life is good!  Happy Birthday Mom!

While the older girls went with me the younger ones had their own park adventures and made dinner. Yum

Lunch with the big girls and then our nails!

It really was a special treat for us girls.

Sleeping Twins

These two often end up right next to each other.  I love how close they are.  I can kiss on then and wake them up but they can put their feet up the other ones nose and they sleep right through it.

Valentine Days At a Beautiful Church - Our Lady of Perpetual Help

This is a beautiful church in Kansas City, Missouri.  OLPH was beautiful!  I wish the world was surrounded by more beauty like this.  In no way am I trying to insult your simple plain church.  I just know that when I enter a building like this my entire soul is lifted.  So much beauty to give glory to God.  One friend was offered when I said this on Facebook.  I was so impressed with this place.  Yes that morning there were several homeless hanging out in the front that were welcomed to the donuts afterward.  It isn't an either "we give to the building" or "we give to the poor" at all.  Here I saw the whole church in action.  I found a blog that says it more beautifully than I can:  Reasonable Belief is the blog title and the post was called, "The Beautiful Church: Why Must Catholic Churches Be So Ornate?  The response is wonderfully stated.

My favorite title of the Blessed Mother is Our Lady of Perpetual Help.  So ending up there on a cold Valentine's day with my hubby was a wonderful thing.

Surprise Uncle Ross

J and his siblings hatched a plan.  Sadly Nikki and her husband could not join in the fun.  The rest of us met in Kansas City without Ross knowing about it.  We surprised him later that night and took him to dinner.  Ross is the youngest of J's siblings.

Ross was shocked and we had a blast surprising him.  He was truly thankful that we showed up for his birthday.

We had a great night celebrating Ross, the baby brother to T-gang no matter how old he gets.
