Before shots
Front of the house before any winds. (Thanks to Blair for the idea to grab a shot like this!)
Backyard with our big old dog named Lucky. I hope she brings us Luck tonight. We flipped the picnic table so the wind would not lift it and we removed all the toys on the swing set.
We are now sitting waiting and waiting.
This is not a fun thing to do. The pine trees are starting to sway a tad. So far no rain, yet. We know it is all coming but nothing yet. I am very lucky because much of the town is without power. I became very fearful as I settled down to rest. No power is just so hard to deal with when the house is so full. I will miss the laundry machine. I know I often curse at the poor dear but she is a close friend.
I want to thank all those that have helped our fellow citizens today. I hope that I can be as selfless in my life as I have seen from the reports of rescue workers, police, and the local and national officials. God Bless you.
So far we are resting and putting puzzles together.
Our little Jumba wore himself out trying to get to the puzzle.
So now we just wait and wait and wait. I wish I could sleep, but I am too nervous or excited.

Our Lady, Star of the Sea, pray for us!
