Back at Home

A few months ago we moved out of our parish church so that renovations could take place.  The old look was very plain and simple.  I felt that little glory was given to God because it was too simple.  I also missed the tabernacle behind the alter.  Changes began last Easter season with the move of the tabernacle to the front but we had to move out for some more in depth changes.

Taken at twins baptism 1-1-13  Notice the "slip and Slide" baptismal.

We met in a middle school theater.  It just didn't feel right.  It was very nice to be back in the church building this week.  Many changes have taken place but still many more to come.  We have new pews, new table for the tabernacle, the alter setting and footing are all new, the flooring is new and the old "slip and slide" baptismal font is gone.

I can't wait to see the other changes.  I was really sad that there was not a body on the cross.  I later heard that one was ordered from Italy but was caught in customs because of the government shut down.  Hopefully soon.
