Bagged Lunches!

Today was art class and nature study with our homeschool group. You can tell your homeschool children are deprived when you buy brown paper bags for lunches and the kids can't sleep with excitement. We usually just pack a cooler with bread and either sandwich meat or peanut butter and jelly.
For some reason I thought it would be fun to make individual lunches and prepare the sandwiches ahead of time. My children, especially the littler ones were so excited about this. I had to laugh at how cool they thought it was to show up at our art classes with their own individual sack lunches. I think their excitement made up for the fact that we were late getting there. It takes a long time to make all those lunches and pack them up. So worth it.
Moogie was in for a surprise today. Her dear friend from Austin came in for a couple of days and was able to join us for these classes. It made the time so much more special for Moogie. We all love this young woman, she is the aunt of Pickle's good friend.
Sugar is one of the older girls that still hangs out with us for art class. She helps all the groups and follows Jumba around, allowing me to help lead the pre-school group.

Bagel is in the middle with the cap on. I miss my good camera . . . sigh . . .
We listened to some Bach today. Jumba was there to help set up the music. He LOVES music.

We are so lucky to be able to stick around, have lunch, and then go on a nature walk with our friends.

Jumba was really enjoying the walk to day. He found butterflies and stuff growing on the trees.

It was such a great day!
