Mimi Picks a favorite!

Growing up we all knew that Mimi favored KeeKee and today she proved it. After 38 years Mimi bought herself a new home. Considering that today is also her birthday I think it is a special day for sure.

Why do I say that she has picked her favorite . . .? Mimi's new home is right next door to KeeKee. She decided to pass on the offer to move next to me in Texas and I doubt she ever considered the offer.

She wasn't interested in moving back to California with my other sister. My brother will still have to come around and do all the work even though he isn't just next door. We always suspected she love KeeKee most. My sister is so lucky. She will get to have Mimi's help with decorating, babysitting, cleaning and laundry. She is so lucky to have won the mom lottery.

I know that Mimi loves all of her children. I am just kidding to say that KeeKee is her favorite. She loves us all the same amount but in different ways. Kerry gets the almost full time version. Not to mention that KeeKee had a very cute one story house for sale right next door and rest of us didn't. All kidding aside I must say that we are so happy for Mimi. She has found a very cute house that is just one story. She will not have to aggravate her sore knees going up and down the stairs to wash her clothes. She will have everything at her fingertips. When and if something goes wrong she will be close enough that she will have Keekee and her family for support. It really is a great day for my mom and my family.

Even though it will be hard leaving so many memories behind she will make many more in this new home. Way to go MIMI. I am happy for you and I can't wait to see this new home.

Prayer for the Home

Visit, we beseech Thee, O Lord, this dwelling, and drive far from it all snares of the enemy; let Thy holy Angels
dwell herein, to preserve us in peace; and let Thy blessing be upon us forever.
Through Christ our Lord.

The Nicene Creed

Our Lady of Perpetual Help ~ Pray For Us!

Immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of God and Mother of the Church you are also our Mother of Perpetual Help. With hearts full of love for you we consecrate ourselves to your Immaculate Heart so that we may be your devoted children. Obtain for us true sorrow for our sins and fidelity to the promises of our Baptism. We consecrate our minds and hearts to you that we always do the Will of our heavenly Father. We consecrate our lives to you that we may love God better and live not for ourselves but for Christ, your Son and that we may see Him and serve Him in others. St. Joseph ~ Pray For Us!

NINE-DAYS NOVENA TO ST. JOSEPH (Note: This prayer was found in the 50th year of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. St. Bernard of Clairvaux

St. Bernard of Clairvaux wrote to a couple that had a miscarriage. In response to their question, “What is going to happen to my child? The child didn’t get baptized,” St. Bernard said, “Your faith spoke for this child. Baptism for this child was only delayed by time. Your faith suffices. The waters of your womb — were they not the waters of life for this child? Look at your tears. Are they not like the waters of baptism? Do not fear this. God’s ability to love is greater than our fears. Surrender everything to God.”

St. Jude ~ Pray For Us!

(Novena say this for 9 days) Most holy Apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally, as the patron of difficult cases, of things almost despaired of, Pray for me, I am so helpless and alone. Intercede with God for me that He bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Holy Saint Anthony, gentle and powerful in your help, your love for God and charity for His creatures, made you worthy, when on earth, to possess miraculous powers. Miracles waited on your word, which you were always ready to request for those in trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, I implore you to obtain for me (request). The answer to my prayer may require a miracle. Even so, you are the Saint of miracles. Gentle and loving Saint Anthony, whose heart is ever full of human sympathy, take my petition to the Infant Savior for whom you have such a great love, and the gratitude of my heart will ever be yours. Amen.
