Last Catholic Coffee Club Class of 2013-2014 School Year

We plan to see "God is Not Dead" next week, but that is more of an adventure not a class.  We were able to grab a shot of the group.  This really has been a fun group of young people that love their faith.  I have so enjoyed being a part of their lives this school year.  We have had some wonderful, joyful and faith filled conversations this year.  This group has been a blessing to me this year.  Possible is the only member of the T family here now that Sugar is in college classes while we meet.
This group decided that for Holy Week we needed to add something to our prayer life.  I don't even remember who suggested this prayer but we all promised to try to say the prayer of St. Gertrude the Great for the Holy Souls in purgatory.
Eternal Father, I offer Thee
the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus,
in union with the Masses s
aid throughout the world today,
for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory,
 for sinners everywhere,
for sinners in the Universal Church,
those in my own home and within my family.
  Amen.
(Our Lord told St. Gertrude the Great, that the following prayer would release 1,000 souls from Purgatory each time it is said. The prayer was extended to include living sinners which would alleviate the indebtedness accrued to them during their lives.)

I asked the group to also include the prayer to St. Michael this week as so many distraction are sent our way to keep our mind off the Cross and the promise of Easter.

Saint Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do you, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of  God cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who wander through the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
Try to add these in to your prayer life for Holy Week as well.  Thank you God, for these wonderful teens.
