The Arch-Bishop's Cup

Apparently there is a little competition that exists between seminaries that most Catholic's in the pews are unaware of.  As Bear continues to discern his possible call to the priesthood we are learning more and more.  The Seminarian assigned to our parish for the scholastic year invited our family to the football and then basketball games of the weekend competition where the Houston's Seminarians from St. Mary's were going against the Seminarians from the Austin diocese.  Dad met us there and everyone packed up in their warm clothes and we headed off to watch the football game.

BRRRR it was very cold out there. (I loved it, but my Houston happy family wasn't too sure.)
Princess all bundled up.
While at the football game my kids assume that they should play along side.

So the seminarian that we are her to cheer on is the middle one in white.

Yeah St. Mary Seminary was in the lead.
We did everything to stay warm and were thrilled when our seminary won this part of the match.
We loved watching the game end in prayer.  Many of those men in that huge huddle will soon be our priests.  What a blessing.  We thought the fun was over until we were then asked if we were following the crowd to the basketball game. So we did.

During half time the other seminary was winning.  Our guys left the room to have a pep talk.  So the T family took to the court.  We really are not very good but the little ones enjoyed being on the real court.

After half time our St. Mary guys took the lead and we continued to cheer.

We don't know what happened during the soccer and volleyball games the next day.  We do need to say thank you for the invite.  We really did enjoy the time as a family cheering on the team.
Go St. Mary Seminary!!
