Weekend Without Big Kids

The older four kids took off for a long weekend leaving the rest of us behind.  The house is different without the hustle and bustle of all those college kiddos. We tried to make the most of our time but we did miss them.  

 

Now What were the big kids doing?  They decided to sneak into St. Louis to surprise a friend that was feeling sick after a surgery.  Dad was not happy that they were going but we made sure to remind them to be prepared.  In the end they did have a little car trouble but were prepared enough to seak help and repair everything.  They were able to surprise just about everyone.  They made it back home safe and sound.  On their way to St. Louis they stopped in the Dallas area to pick up their good friend Daniel.  So in St. Louis the kids spent time with both sides of the family, with a few friends, Fr. Tom and then also got to show Daniel a few sites before heading home to Houston.  It was a short visit but a good one.  For what ever reason they needed to connect with their family and friends. I was very proud of them for figuring it all out and getting to and from without major issues. 

 

 

 

 

I shouldn't pick on J too much.  I slept much better when they all arrived home.
