BYE to The Mercury Mariner

Way way back in August of 2011 J and I purchased a car for Pooker to get safely to and from University of St. Thomas and to visit her college friends and our home way out in the suburbs.  This car has been driven by each of the kiddos until it just fell completely apart.  Poor Sugar was the last to drive it and one day the car would just not move any more. I believe that 7 plus years of service was pretty good. Here is to hoping that we find equally reliable cars for the younger drivers. For now we say good bye. We donated the car to St. Vincent dePaul Society.

Gramps B-Day Celebration with Kiddos

The kids loved spending Monday nights with Nanny and Gramps. They have dinner and watch the Bachelor together. I am glad that they have this weekly time together. Happy birthday again to Gramps.

Southern Visitor

Amy L was a good friend when we lived in Texas. Sugar worked as her nanny for years. They also homeschooled their kiddos so we had a lot in common. When she decided to relax a little she wanted to visit with Sugar. WE all had a fun visit. She is a great cook and the kids loved having her bake with them.

We were sad to see her go, next time we hope she can bring some of the kiddos. We miss them all. Love to the L family.

Princess Passes

And earns her whistle! She was nervous about the lifeguard testing but passed with no problem. Go Princess, you are now prepared to keep lives safe at the pool.

Happy Birthday Gramps

Gramps celebrated his big birthday with all five of his kids and their spouses with good food and great drinks to toast him with.

We love you dad!  Happy birthday!You make 70 year old look very young!

Trade Show In KC

Jumba and Bagel went to KC with dad for a trade show. They enjoyed the taste that we remember of home. They ate at Chuy's. Lucky dogs.

 The trade show is always a place where Jumba makes new friends.

I love that because we homeschool these kids often get the chance to join their dad in the real world. Jumba knows so much!  I love this part of our lives. Dad enjoys having his kids around too. He wants them to be apart of his everyday life. We are blessed in this family for sure.

Sugar Reached New Level

 On her Chick-Fil-A app.  This made her very happy!
