Remove the Glitter

Love, Love, Love Color Street.

One issue that I have with nail polish is the removal of that polish. I am a glitter girl, never have been before but am now. It is next to impossible to get the glitter polish off. I have used the clips with remover in the past. I was so excited to have found a new way to remove even glitter polish quickly and completely. This method involves warm to hot water. The hand is placed in a small bag with polish remover,  the tips in the bag are submerged into the hot water. The heat activates the remover and makes it work much faster. While in the water, the fingers in the bag of remover are to rub the nails vigorously. After 3 to 5 minutes and clean hand emerges. It is important to then wash the hand.

I was delighted at how quickly and easily this method worked.

He Makes A Basket

Another game for Jumba and his team.
These guys wanted a great position to see him play.

Jumba keeps doing his best. He plays as hard as he can every time he plays or practices. We love that about him. I also love how the siblings keep coming and keep cheering Jumba on. We were thrilled that he made the first basket.

Most Pro-Life President

We didn't make the March For Life this year. Various members of the family go every year, except this year none of us made it. We love going and being there to represent. We prayed for others that we knew that were going to the March. Then we got word that the President would be attending. This is so cool! Never happened before. I made the kids sit down and watch. This is historic. I want to remember this.

Beauty in Snow

Today marks one month until my birthday. J is traveling all the time. Money is tight and the bills from Christmas are stilling being paid. I have been fighting a few kidney stones. We need new tires for the car but will need to wait until we get our income tax refund to be able to afford them. I was starting to feel overwhelmed and down. I dropped Princess off at work and would need to come back to get her and pick up and Bagel later after a little more frozen rain and snow. This had me a little worried. I hate driving with the bad tires on the slippery roads. I dropped Princess off and just sat there. At first, out of habit I lamented, "Why did we move to this awful place that has snow?" I heard myself and was so upset. We moved here, to the Mid West, so we could enjoy the snow and the change of season. I forced myself to take another look. The trees covered with snow are beautiful, and the snow blankets everything in a peace.

I got home and made myself look some more and take a few more pictures.

The snow is beautiful! Praise God in all things!

Driving Permits

Princess and Bagel both earned their permits on different days. Pickle renewed and changed states on his permit.

Now comes the hard part. Pickle is ready to take the drivers test but wants a few weeks to practice. The others are brand new drivers, this will be fun. I am very thankful that the older kids are willing to help with this. Moms teaching driving make everyone nervous!

Snow Fun

I love all the snow. I think that it makes everything look so beautiful.

The twins and the huskies all love the snow!

These two doggies are so excited when the temperature drops.

These two snow loving dogs make the snow that much more fun for the rest of us.

Swim in The Snow

So it snowed again. Goobers isn't happy about it. I think Pickle is celebrating that there is snow while Goobers is questioning why she moved to a colder client.

As the conversation continued, someone dared someone else to go swim in the snow.

Possible and a few of her friends tried it. Possible put her suit on and dived in, then ran inside to warm up.  Crazy kids!

Some More Basketball

This kid is still giving this his all. I love that! Go Devin!

Brothers Watching TV "Together"

Sometimes mom forgets how strong the brother bond really can be. Pickle and Jumba loved having Bear home for Christmas and now were pretending to watch tv with him. I was in the room and didn't even notice at first.

WHATABURGER Treat for Everyone

One of the things we miss a lot from TX is WhatABurger. Remember we dressed up like WhataBurger numbers one year for Halloween. The burgers are big and yummy. The fries are thin. The chicken sandwiches with a little honey butter are to die for. J and I decided that our souvenir for the kiddos back in St. Louis would be to take them this treat home. I can't tell you how wonderful the people were to us. We told them what we were doing and that we had a large family. They got us insulated bags and marketing trinkets to share with the kiddos.

The kids were surprised and we all enjoyed a very yummy meal. Missing Houston and all our friend and all our favorite foods.

Thank you WHATABURGER for another happy memory.
