GCU

In trying to pick the online school for Bear to finish his MBA he decided to visit Grand Canyon University. GCU is in Phoenix, Arizona.

They each returned to Houston with a bag full of GCU goodies. They enjoyed the time together. Time will tell if the school is the right choice.

Sales men always like it when the new samples arrive. That is one of the exciting aspects of being in sales. The thrill of getting to see the new stuff.

J is so lucky to have such handsome young men helping to organize the new samples so that he can grab for trade shows without much effort.

Improving House to Encourage a Sale

We have so many walls to paint.

Late night painting and "thank you for your hard work" treats.

Then even more painting . . .

We even got epoxy and covered the top of the washer and dryer. These were all rusted out and looked horrible. I was shocked that a $3 can of white epoxy paint could make these old machines look new.

Our Lady Is Honored

The old look has been replaced. The fountain has been made a beautiful big fountain with a picture of the blessed Mother in the front.

My local friends are going to LOVE how STAOP updated the fountain in front of church.

Approaching church for daily Mass Bear and I noticed that a change had been made. I brought the younger ones to see it the next morning.

They have made some beautiful changes. The statue that sat in the center of the fountain before was in honor of the unborn. This former statue has been placed in another spot that is a little more secluded. My love of this new placement is not meant to disrespect what was here before. I just think that Mary should be prominent.

Our Lady is now front and center as you approach the church building. The visual is more than just the moving of a statue. When you visit the campus entering from the main entrance you are first greeted by St. Anthony, then our Lady and in the direct line behind the two is the Tabernacle. The placement draws us into Christ. I love it!

With hearts full of love for you we consecrate ourselves to your Immaculate Heart so that we may be your devoted children. St. Joseph ~ Pray For Us!

St. Bernard of Clairvaux

St. Bernard of Clairvaux wrote to a couple that had a miscarriage. In response to their question, “What is going to happen to my child? The child didn’t get baptized,” St. Bernard said, “Your faith spoke for this child. Baptism for this child was only delayed by time. Your faith suffices. The waters of your womb — were they not the waters of life for this child? Look at your tears. Are they not like the waters of baptism? Do not fear this. God’s ability to love is greater than our fears. Surrender everything to God.”

St. Jude ~ Pray For Us!
