Shopping on Saturday

Word is that some areas of the country are going to open up. We are stallion lock down but things are changing. This was for the good, I found toilet paper in the store. There wasn't a lot of it bt hopefully this is an indication that the shelves would not be as bare as they had been.

Everyone was wearing masks and the store design is being altered to cater to social distances. People look so fearful.
Personally I was feeling very confident. I did my nails and felt very put together. Who knew that nails and makeup can really give a girl courage and strength.
I came home from the store with stuff for our last official Sunday on lockdown and some more toilet paper and hand soap. Maybe things will get back to normal after all.

Thanks for the Nails

I couldn't help but send a set of french manicure to my baby. I wish we could all sit around like we did last year and do our nails together. I miss this girl so much. Maybe I can pamper from a distant. I love you Pooker. Thanks for the Facebook shout out!

My mom sells nails! She is a Color Street lady and so enjoys sharing her love for the product with others. I don’t get my nails done often and when I do I like the salon, but the Color Street options are a great alternative to those who need a nail fix during this stay at home time!
I got the French Manicure set sent to me for Easter and my husband took the time to help me apply them. They’ve made this anxious pregnant momma feel a little less locked down for the past week! They’re fun and easy to do and there’s so many options! Here’s her link if you’re interested in trying some. Thanks for the Easter treat, mom/grandma!

Swim Theory

Goobers and Possible work at this wonderful place where they are giving swim lessons. This is a small private indoor pool. There was a free hour in the middle of the day, the owner asked the girls if their siblings might need some exercise. The kids jumped all over it.

J and I were at home trying to watch the news and figure out what was going on. While this was happening the kids were sending us fun pictures. I love these kiddos and I am so thankful that they got to spend the afternoon just having fun, without the weight of world or the weight of the virus on them. I love that even in a time of an international pandemic, these kids can make each other smile.

Getting Mary

Mary B was going to spend the weekend with us, then head to Chicago. We were happy that we would get to spend a little time with her at the beginning of her Spring Break from college. SLU would be off for the week. We are so happy that we get to have her visit for the weekend.

Trouble with Travel?

Started on 3/3"

Anyone else traveling outside of the US and trying to get back in this week???? Hubby was informed yesterday that he needs to arrive 3 hours in advance of his flight time for extra security checks on a flight from Toronto Canada. Now I am hoping everything goes well and we can get him back in the states tomorrow night. Anyone else having an issue?

Updated on 3/4

J's plane landed late on the 4th. He had no problem getting through customs. This is an odd time in America! And the World!

Possible Being Captured In Pictures

Possible and DoLo work together. Their boss shared these pictures of the two. One was Possible putting up the TX flag at his pool and the other was at a fundraiser. DoLo's dad offered Possible a ticket and she went with her friend. These girls are so cute and have such big hearts!

Trade Show

Today J and I caught an early Mass and then headed to the trade show. Today I helped him, really I just sat with him. It was very quiet. We had a good day talking about the world, current events, our kids and economy and this weird thing that some are taking about - the Wuhan Virus. There are some odd predictions and precautions that they are starting to talk about.

Remove the Glitter

Love, Love, Love Color Street.

One issue that I have with nail polish is the removal of that polish. I am a glitter girl, never have been before but am now. It is next to impossible to get the glitter polish off. I have used the clips with remover in the past. I was so excited to have found a new way to remove even glitter polish quickly and completely. This method involves warm to hot water. The hand is placed in a small bag with polish remover,  the tips in the bag are submerged into the hot water. The heat activates the remover and makes it work much faster. While in the water, the fingers in the bag of remover are to rub the nails vigorously. After 3 to 5 minutes and clean hand emerges. It is important to then wash the hand.

I was delighted at how quickly and easily this method worked.

OKL Visit

Mom and Dad were given an invitation to join Bear at a form Seminarian Christmas Dinner. The dinner and Mass were held at Bear's parish that he is working at for a pastoral year.

He loves the parish, he gets along really well with the pastor and J and I have friends in the same parish. The dinner was nice and we talked with Archbishop Coakley.

The morning after the dinner, my friend from that parish hosted a Color Street Party. I had fun, I hope they did as well.
We then met up with Bear and had some food, did some sight seeing, went to Confession and then saw more sights.

The memorial for the OKC bombing is such a moving place to visit. The memorial is incredibly well done.

Then off to another beautiful church.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help is one of my absolute favorite images of Our Lady. The door was that imagine and to enter you had to grab Our Lady's hand. It felt wonderful to hold her hand.

We saw so many wonderful sights, and prayed in many wonderful places. The evening ended with a delicious fancy dinner with Fr. and Bear.
