Lindenwood Home Coming Parade

Homecoming is always a great weekend.  This time we got to spend it with friends (Gomer's in-laws) watching the parade.

The Catholic Student Union designed a fun themed truck for the parade. Sticks was Woody for the parade and someone else we all know and love was the Lion. We love you Sugar!

We enjoyed watching the parade and grabbing all the candy that was thrown at us. We had to leave early to head to our soccer game and now we had candy to pass out at the end of the game!

Friends Visit

Our friends visited from Houston.  Mrs. G's mom and dad live here.  We went over for a night of yummy pizza and fun conversation. Dear S, I miss you and your kiddos!

Sugar and Possible Go To SEEK 2019

There is a group that is trying to help the college age Catholics maintain their faith.    

Focus is: 

The Fellowship of Catholic University Students is a Catholic collegiate outreach whose mission is to share the hope and joy of the gospel with college and university students, inspiring and equipping them for a lifetime of Christ-centered evangelization, discipleship and friendships in which they lead others to do the same.

One of the things that FOCUS does is to host these conference/retreats. 

SEEK“What do you seek?” (John 1:38) SEEK is an invitation to college students everywhere to explore life’s bigger questions: who we are, where we’re going and what we seek along the journey. As FOCUS’ national conference, SEEK encourages all students to come explore what they truly seek: to learn about the faith, to share in friendship, to be encouraged in their unique vocation — and to experience the love, hope and very real presence of Jesus Christ through His Church.Hosted for five days every other year, SEEK gathers thousands of college students together from all across the country for a time of prayer, fellowship, engaging talks, inspiring entertainment — and, most importantly, a chance to encounter Christ in a life-changing way.

Sugar and Possible decided to join the group from Lindenwood University to attend this SEEK Conference in Indianapolis, IN.

The girls had a blast. They ran into many friends from A&M and from STAOP.

Confirmation Blessing For Pickle

Sadly we never actually saw Pickle.  I know that sounds crazy but we all drove separately.  He was in front with his class and the older kids were the teachers so they had to walk a little to check on things and would catch up with us.  

The parish gets all these kids to together and then blesses them as the parish offers to pray for them and their faith journey.  This is such a beautiful tradition.  These 15/16 year olds are truly growing in their faith as they prepare for the sacrament of Confirmation.  The parish is behind them.

After the teens left for class and the rest of us were treated to a talk from one of my favorite speakers.  Go Gomer!

Welcome To The Catholic Family

Our friends in the G family had another baby a few months back.  Today was his glorious baptism.  Welcome to the Catholic family big guy.  

The small chapel was full of family and friends.  So many young kiddos running around.  It was a beautiful ceremony.  I just love our faith!
