Shrimp in the Air - Sugar Has Reaction

It had been over a year since the last the reaction.  Poor Sugar.  We are all lucky to have so many siblings to help take care of everything.

Goobers first shared with this to say,
"Well that was fun! She made it whole year! I’m so glad she’s alive... “you should eating it” ðŸ™„ ha great job guys."

Sugar had this to say to explain what was happening,
"I really don’t know what I do with out my family! I had a pretty bad/fast reaction to some fish that was served after a graduation, and as I was walking to the car trying to think if I needed my pen half of my siblings already new I did, but didn’t say anything because they know I have to think about it for a minute myself. I heard Twin Beautiful and Twin Adorable all the way from the back of the car ask if I was ok or if they could help with something, they are only 6 years old but have the best hearts. Jumba always try’s to make me laugh, because he is the funniest person in the world, Bagel is always standing right where I can see her, she always looks so concern, but stays where she is just so I know she’s there ( even though she hates medical stuff just as much as I do) Princess never stops, she always helps with what she can, she loads everyone in the car faster then when Mom says we are going to chick-fill-a, she keeps everyone calm and together she’s only 15 but I know one day she is going to make a great mother! Pickle will sit in the back and google where the best ER is, and he also try’s to make me smile! Possible literally can be in 3 places at once, she some how always gets all my stuff together but never leaves my side, she’s like a super hero! She always makes sure I’m okay and offers to go with me! Bear was not there, but when he is there he really does a good job at keeping everyone from stressing out he is the best big brother, and is going to be the best priest one day! Goobers always makes sure I have my Id and always fills out all the paperwork a job I found out Yesterday when she was filling out paperwork that she does not like. Poor Goobers, she is always filling out someone’s paperwork! Pooker is always taking care of someone who is hurt she will be the best nurse one day, we all look to her as if she is a doctor, she knows so much and always finds a way to make me feel better. When I see Pooker and  Goobers I see the the two people I want to be!! This all comes from mom and dad, they taught us to love and take care of each other, when I’m a parent I hope I’m half as good as they are! ❤️"

Pooker Shared Sugar's post but added this,
"Sugar is a beautiful soul and such a champ when it comes to dealing with her allergy. I can not imagine monitoring every single ingredient I consume. Sugar does though. This girl takes a little bit of time to use her epi pen sometimes because I think she’s thinking about everyone else’s reaction. She hates being a “burden”. She hates changing plans, having someone drive her to the ER, making staff work, and altering schedules. I know she stalls using the pen because she’s praying it’s not actually happening.

Sugar, I hope you know we love every bit of you. We all wish we could take the burden of your allergy away. Unfortunately/fortunately you’ve been though reactions so many times that you handle them so well. I thank God that you’ve never been completely alone and that we get to share the burden with you sometimes. Thank you for reminding all of us how precious life is.

For the record, she didn’t eat any shrimp/seafood. (Not sure why that’s everyone’s first question, it literally takes everything in us to not punch you if you ask that) She walked into a room that didn’t have any indication of shrimp being served and she walked right out. We assume she touched a door that had oils on it, yes she’s that allergic.

Say a prayer for Sugar and everyone who has bad food allergies next time you enjoy some yucky shrimp. "

Celebrating!

 Pooker shared this on Facebook:
"Graduate from college and maybe your grandparents will take you gambling.  Thought we’d try it since we were all together, so blessed to have fun grandparents that will do stuff with us. "

Bear's Graduation

It was a tad surreal driving onto the campus for the last graduation.  Graduations often invoke these types of feelings.  It was just a little more powerful this time considering it would be the last graduation ceremony.

So Proud of our Bear.

He gave the student address, and as the Student Body President I must say that he did a wonderful job.  His siblings, his friend Garret, his Nanny and Gramps and his mom and dad all watched with great pride.

He called everyone to remember the good times, to focus on being the St. Gregory's family now and in the future.  Bear recalled remarks from his first Theology class in which one of his favorite professors challenged the students to develop their 10,000 year plan.  He reminded his peers that part of their St. Greg's education was to focus on the big life plan that was getting to Heaven!  He sad a few jokes thrown in.  He delivered it well!

We are all just so proud of Bear.  He know has his Bachelor of Science in Business.  We are so proud of this guy!  We were ready to celebrate!

I don't think any one had ever had a group of sisters that love this much.  These girls admire their brother and are incredibly proud of him and his accomplishments.  Pooker and Goobers arrived during the ceremony.  They had to work the day and the night before.  Pooker got off of work and she and Goobers left right away because they made that long drive tired but determined to cheer on their baby brother.

J is very proud of Bear.  There is a special bond between a father and son.

Garret is a good friend to be there for Bear and to celebrate his big day with him.

Bear we are very proud of you.  This campus will soon be quiet and that is sad. This place was very peaceful.

The next day it was very exciting to see the newspaper.  There was my Bear.

Congratulations Bear, you make us very proud!

So much my has been happening. I needed comfort. I decided to make one of my favorite meals from my youth.  My mom was not the most flavorf...
