Ran Into Mrs. W

When we moved to Texas this lady was one of my closest friends. We grew apart over the years with so much distance between us. She was on my heart and after praying for her and her family I reached out. We had lunch that turned into a day event as we talked, talked and talked some more. I was so happy to learn about her hubby and kiddos. I was sad to learnt hat they planned to move to upstate NewYork in May. Our friendships was rekindled so that we can now be long distance friends once again. That is a good thing.

Thank you God fro friends like Judy. We can live worlds apart and not talk for years but then see each other and remember that our friendship honored God. Because of that we will be forever friends. God bless the W family on their move and I can't wait to catchup with her again.

Feb CHERISH Group's MNO

The local homeschool group here in St. Charles, MO only meets once every month. I miss the closeness of the other group. This is a great group of ladies as well. I feel so honored that they have welcomed me in and make me feel so love when I show up each month. Beautiful faces of beautiful women!

Today I turned 50

I got to say that I spent most of the day a little worried that a surprise party would happen. I have been nervous about that for a few weeks. My 30th and my 40th both came with "surprise" parties.

I knew about both of them in advance and that is a good thing. I don't like surprises. It takes me a while to adjust to that idea. I acted surprised both times but if I had truly been surprised I would have cursed someone out and walked away.  So big birthdays have me a little nervous.

I wanted a simple day. I am not ashamed of being 50. I am not even upset by it. I just don't want to make a big deal out of it. My kiddos took very good care of me to let me know I was loved. These two (Sugar and Possible) ordered lunch and brought it home. The best idea yet. I got to celebrate and eat yummy food but didn't need to leave the house.

I love this kind of surprise. I don't have to cook and yummy lunch is provided. I love Olive Garden and we all got to sit down to a wonderful meal.  J get into town half way through the day, but the kids made sure that the first half of the day made me feel special.

We then headed out to a later Mass. After Mass The kids wanted to surprise me with a family party. J just had those closest to me join us at Steak N Shake. Again yummy food and I was surrounded by my many of my favorite people.

Thank you everyone for helping me to feel so special on my big day!  Thank yo also for keeping things simple. I was very thankful to get to spend most of the day wrapped up in a blanket cuddling the little ones.

Love From Texas

It has been a long time since we left Texas. The big kids knew that and sent some love. I can't even begin to share how exciting it is for these kiddos to get some spicy ketchup and some HEB treats. Dad was most excited about the Texan's salt and pepper shakers.

More Snow!

Dad's flight home kept getting delayed. I finally was abled to get him home and we all just enjoyed some winter cuddle time. I think that is what I like most about the snow. It forces us to stay inside and to be together.

Make the most of your snow days! Enjoy your family and your time with them.

Happy Valentine's Day

Dad always tries to get flowers for all of his girls. Possible always makes sure that mom gets a flower from Declan and David, these are the two that I miscarried. I love that Possible keeps them very much a part of our lives.

WE got some fun chocolates and cough medicine.
Don't forget the chocolate ice cream!  Yeah!
I hope that your Valentine's day is full of love and chocolate (and not hospital visits!)

Broken Arm Possible

Possible was doing her morning exercises and missed. She was jumping up fell backwards breaking her elbow. This girl.  Poor thing. Lots of pain.

The doctor set her arm and we got her lunch. We tried to get her a good tex-me meal to make her feel better but good tex-men is very hard to find.

So much my has been happening. I needed comfort. I decided to make one of my favorite meals from my youth.  My mom was not the most flavorf...
