First Day Back to College
Good luck Sugar and Sticks at Lindenwood.
ColorStreet Photos
I want to host some events that I want to call CCC, Coffee, Cake & Color Street. These were my pictures that I did to show off some the products.
I also designed a flyer for the Northside Lions, Pickle's old football team, using this picture.

Neighborhood Concert
Our neighborhood has concert nights throughout the summer. The idea is to bring neighbors together through a little music. I asked my "stay at home" hubby if he had any desire to go see the Rough Ryders. I was shocked when he knew who they were and wanted to go. As it turns out, he went to grade school with one of the band members, Russ Kasper. Small world for sure.
It was a fun and enjoyable evening. The music was good, J talked to an old friend, and we all got out to enjoy the fresh air.

Group Baseball Adventure
The kiddos planned a fun day at the park. We might not be huge Cardinal fans we do appreciate a live game. Mary will start at SLU soon, Chris will go back to A&M Galveston, Sugar and Sticks will start back to Lindenwood, Possible will be taking classes on line at LoneStar and Princess just started at SCC. These college kids needed one more adventure!

I love this group of kiddos. WE even love Sticks even though he is a Cardinals fan.
Food With Friends
Food with friends is always an important part of the day. My kids are so blessed to share friends with siblings and even to have friends visit from Houston.
First Day of College
Time for the first day of college classes at SCC for Pickle and Princess, actually their first day of "traditional school" ever! These days are hard on my mom heart. I know that the kids are both 18 (Princess had just had her birthday the day before) and not 5 or 6 years old, but this is their first day in a "real" classroom. I know they will do well. I am glad the Princess was ready to start college a year early. This way they can go on the adventure together.
I instructed the kids to make sure they took a picture for me when dropping them off. Thank you Bear!
Good luck Pickle! Good luck Princess! We all know that you two will do well!

Big News - SHHHH
This was our last evening with everyone in town. Pooker and JavaJava would be leaving, Bear and Goobers would soon follow. Even Chris was leaving soon. My heart was so full with having the entire family together as this happens, rarely. After another good dinner we were sitting down to watch a little tv, one of the twins handed me this note. I didn't understand what it meant at first. Under the heart is a very special bundle. At first I thought it was a Holy Family picture but then I noticed that I was being watched and filmed. I was then told that the girl was Pooker. As I figured it out, my heart leaped! Could it be true?
As you can see every sibling shared the joy. JavaJava made some calls as we tried to not scream our excitement too much and allow his family to hear the good news. I am overjoyed at how much a one week old unborn child could be this loved, and he/she is very very very loved!
For now this was not public information but it would not keep us from celebrating. (I am sharing here because I am really posting it months later. Everyone knows now.)
Welcome to the family little R baby. We love you more than you can ever imagine. Thank you Pooker and JavaJava for sharing your big news with us. We feel so blessed to have been around you when you discovered this wonderful news. We feel honored that you shared your joy with us and let us share in that joy as well.
God, we thank you for this precious gift. We ask for health for this child, and that he/she will know You! We ask for mom and dad to continue to grow in love for each other as they celebrate the growing child. Please keep our beloved Pooker Baby healthy as she cares for this unborn gift. Thank you!
First Practice
J and I thought it was funny that we had planned our first practice with everyone still in town. We made them all come and help. . .
After meeting all the girls and getting an idea of what the year would hold, J led a great practice.
. . . or watch . . .
We ended with Pooker giving us some great cool down stretches.
I loved being out there and active with my kiddos.

Sunday Afternoon and Family
If you look closely, you might be able to tell that he cars are parked the wrong way in the driveway. Never sure what the kids are thinking but they thought this was hysterical.
