Snow Storm In Houston

This does not happen often here in Houston.  When it does it is a huge deal.  We have so much going on that I didn't pay attention to what was happening.  Jumba took my phone and showed me the forecast.  I was shocked.  I was even more surprised when he look outside and started screaming with delight that it was snowing.

This was such a pretty snow, too  The flakes were big and fluffy.  I was so very pretty coming down.

It accumulated quickly, another rarity.  Houston sometimes get snow but never enough to make a snow ball.  Jumba was running in and out, he loved keeping us updated.

I am still shocked looking at the 'forecast'.  It isn't supposed to ever say SNOW for our area.  What is going on?
After the kids took a few shots I big the perfect pajamas and took a few more pictures before calling it a night.

After a little fun at the house the big kids headed out to celebrate the end of the school year and had some snow-fun!

I know that to my friends that are up north a little bit of snow collected on the top of the truck is not a big deal.  To those in Houston it is HUGE NEWS.

The kids, even the adult ones, had a blast.  The snow fall was so exciting.

Princess could not resist running outside and gabbing a shot of our house with snow.  It looks so peaceful.  I love it!

In Houston we never expect it to last until the next morning but it did.
Today was a Holy Day of Obligation so we got to see our home and our church home all covered in white.  Love it.
I suspect some of those plants won't survive but the color with the snow on them is pretty,

Someone had the idea to move the table out from the patio to see how much snow we would get.

I love the picture below.  I should have taken the time to get a better shot but the beautiful rose with the white snow.  The Feast of the Immaculate Conception is the feast day that we celebrate.  Mary is the rose and she is perfectly clean.

The trees around the church were still white although as we left Mass the snow was mostly gone.
My crowd collected it off of neighboring cars to have a snow ball fight with me!

I know it is odd for your northerners but we had a blast during our short lived snow "STORM"!
I love that my Houston peers can poke fun of ourselves too.
I am excited about moving north.  I miss snow days, I really do.  BUT I have been very proud of Houston.  It has been quite a year.   The snow was a beautiful cap to the 2017 Houston Adventures.
