Making House Look Good Enough to Sell

These pictures were taken over time as we prepared the house to put on the market.  

Getting the house ready sometimes means that you have to say goodbye to a few things.  We were giving this coach to friends that had originally given it to us.  Maybe it will help to get rid of a few kids as well. . . (NEVER)

All the work is so very tiring.

I love so many of the changes we have made to prepare it for sale.  Next time we move into a house I want to pretend we are moving out right away and make those great changes right from the start.

Jumba is great at running a carpet cleaner.  All these hidden talents are coming out of the woodwork.

It is a ton of work to get the house HGTV ready. The realtors told us that people want the perfect house these days.  We were told that it must look great for pictures because that is what draws people in.  We were warned that it wold not be shown as often but electronic showings have changed the progression of house selling.  We will try to keep it clean.  Our home is just 2 years old but we live in it.  I am surprised at how much work needed to be done.  I am also proud of how it will look.  Our realtor came to stage the home and soon it will be an active listing.  Sharing this picture within the family loop caused so much distress with the older kids.  This move is a scary one.  We are starting without the end result known.  We know that it is time to move on, but that is all we know.  Prayers would be appreciated.   Deep breath,
