Practice Before the Rains

The predictions have all been made.  Hurricane Harvey is headed right to us.  The weather had been so incredibly hot until this afternoon.  As the clouds role in the temperature dropped.  We took Pickle to football practice.  We hoped against hope that he would still have a game next weekend but we were pretty sure it would not happen.  We needed to go to the store to purchase supplies.  We had no idea what to expect.  Would we have power?  Would we flood?  These questions are very intimidating.  Then while trying to prepare for what to purchase and when to shop while Pickle is practicing we all notice the rainbows.  In the bible, the rainbow is a reminder that the sun the earth will not be completely flooded again.  It was nice to have this reminder before the rains started!

This was also the exciting night in which the jerseys were passed out.  The boys were pretty excited.

Thanks to all the moms and dads that work so hard at making sure this team runs efficiently.  Now home to figure out how we will live through the storm.
