Macbeth

I have stated before how much we love high school productions!  I really think that the youth put more of themselves into their shows.  They get nothing out of it and are not getting paid.  Yet the passion is beautiful.    .   .    . BUT Macbeth, really, can a high school production pull off such a demanding piece?  I say yes.

I headed there with some of my favorite people.  Sugar and Kat, sisters at heart!  Neighbors that have been through it all together.  Kat joined us for a night out with the neighborhood Catholic teens that have been tight for years.

One of the crowd was in the production at St. Thomas High school, one of the only all boys Catholic schools in the city.  Our neighbor's boys enjoy the school very much and invited us to watch the play.

Pooker  joined us down there, fitting us into their busy college schedules.
No need to rush because our friend BB had one of the major roles in the production.  We use our connections to have front row seats saved.  Yeah, that is cool to walk in and go right to the front.

Not every one's actual name was used.  Some nicknames as well. I know nothing about Bear and the White Dove???
So Mr. BB played the role of Ross. This a great supporting role. I have seen this young man in various roles for several years now, starting back in grade school. This was one that was very well cast. (He could have pulled off Macbeth, but this was good too.)

We were all riveted.  This was a wonderful production.  The cast and crew were out of this world.
BB's brother JB joined us during intermission.  He was a supporting brother and agreed to be a makeup artist for the production.  We did try to pick on him but he took it like a champ and then started offering advice.
BB was awesome and so were his peers.  I was so surprised at how great they were.
Sugar had JB autograph our reservation tags.
After heading back to our corner of the world we stopped at Denny's.  The kids laughed and played, discussed the play, their lives, the world, politics and faith.  I just can not say enough wonderful things about this group of some of my favorite teens in the entire world.
I know Kat's mom is watching from Heaven with a big old grin on her face.  She always loved this group and wanted them to remain close.  I sat there watching them with a tear in my eye and a very thankful heart.

They are so blessed to have each other and the world is blessed that they are in it.
