"I didn't nessisarowly think it would wook"

Kids Say the Darnedest Things!
Friday Check out some great stories on a blogger friends website by clicking the words above. This is our Friday contribution:

Monday is always a fun day around our home. Mom is tired from the weekend. The kiddos have been yelled at all day for not sitting still. It is so hard to pay attention on Mondays. My home school kiddos were also wiped out from the day, we were busy like all Mondays. We caught up on chores, worked on our school stuff, and dad was out of town. Pooker's car (another post) is gone so we were dropping her off at work after having picked her up from her college classes.

Pooker needed to be dropped off at 6:15 and the older kiddos needed to visit the bank. We all piled into the car, I grabbed the latest Narnia book and we headed out without having had dinner. This is when I heard Bagel whispering to Goobers. Apparently she had decided to tell the other children not to ask for dinner before we left to take Pookers to work. Her plan was to mention McDonalds in passing after mom realized that everyone was hungry. She was hoping then maybe if the timing was just right mom might cave in and offer that special treat of fast food.

Mom's plan all along was to get them fast food, as I was not that hungry and just wanted to catch up on our reading after having taken such a long pause over Spring Break. Pooker jumps out of the car and as I turn the car around I ask the crowd, "So if you promise to be quiet and listen while I read our book I will treat you to McDonald, what do you think?"

Bagel sat with her mouth open at first, she looked as if she had just won the academy award. She then blurted out loud in her very cute adorable 5 year old accent (not all words pronounced correctly but she still tries the big words - too cute!) "Oh my gosh, I didn't nessisarowly (necessarily) think that it would wook (work)!"
